Dr.Phil Greenwood, CPA, PhD
Financial and Strategy Advisor to the Early Stage and Middle Market Enterprise
Dr. Phil Greenwood specializes in advising and developing middle market and early-stage businesses, focusing on strategic planning, finance, and accounting. He has a track record of helping companies secure equity financing ranging from $2 million to $10 million each, particularly in biotechnology, high-tech manufacturing, and other service sectors. Some of his notable clients include Deltanoid Pharmaceuticals, Imago Scientific, and Higher Dimension Medical.
Before his advisory role, Phil gained extensive business experience at Abbott Laboratories, McDonald's Corporation, and KPMG, where he served in various financial and auditing roles. As an educator, he has taught MBA and Executive MBA courses and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, focusing on entrepreneurship. Phil has also taught entrepreneurship courses internationally, including in China, France, and Turkey.
In addition to teaching, Phil conducts management development seminars covering topics such as equity financing, financial analysis, and entrepreneurial strategies. He holds a CPA license in Illinois and holds degrees in accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including a recent Doctorate in Philosophy in Continuing Education with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
